Tearing down anything and everything right out of the gate, Void Rot are titanic on this album. The sound and production are spot on and there is a paranoid sense of tension and urgency in each track. You get the feeling that this is the beginning of a band that could be truly legendary after several more albums like this. For now, I will be happy to settle for falling through the earth to the sounds of "Monolith." Shit...

An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names.
